Minister Asks for Chinese Investment in Aircraft Workshop in Cambodia

BEIJING: During a visit to Beijing, China, Mao Havanall, Minister in charge of the State Secretariat for Civil Aviation, asked the Aircraft Maintenance and Engineering Cooperation (AMECO) to invest in an aircraft maintenance workshop in Cambodia at the new Siem Reap Angkor International Airport, which is set to open later this year.

Mao Havanall said that the presence of an international standard aircraft repair and maintenance workshop in Cambodia could lead to economic growth. He said it will also promote the civil aviation sector of Cambodia to grow and compete with other countries in the region.

AMECO is a large and well-known company in the field of civil aviation. Based in Beijing, it specializes in providing a wide range of aircraft maintenance and aeronautical services.
